Townsend Elementary School

EDiS Company was hired by Appoquinimink School District to renovate Townsend Elementary School, improving the building’s ingress and egress and providing some much needed ADA upgrades. After relocating all of their students to Old State Elementary School, the EDiS team began the improvements, which included the main entrance being moved from the side of the building to the front. The relocation provided for a more secure entrance and ADA access. In addition, the school’s administrative space was reconfigured for security purposes and included a town hall theme. Other improvements included upgrades to HVAC, bathrooms, new LED lighting, select new flooring, and finishes.
