PMV Pharmaceuticals, founded in 2013, is focused on disrupting cancer treatment by targeting mutant p53 proteins to reactivate their tumor-suppressing functions. Their groundbreaking work in oncology drug development requires advanced facilities that support intensive research and development. Pharma required an upgrade and expansion of their existing facilities to enhance their capacity for cancer research. They needed modernized office spaces and advanced laboratories that could support the high demands of their scientific work.

Having worked on multiple prior projects for BioMed Realty Trust at One Research Way, EDiS was selected as the Construction Manager for the fitout of PMV Pharma’s new 50,581 square feet of administrative and laboratory research space.

While Phase 1 focused on interior upgrades such as replacing carpets and repainting walls in the administration area to refresh the workspace, Phase 2 was more complex, involving the demolition of old lab spaces and the construction of new ones.

This phase included:

    • The installation of a new underground sanitary waste system
    • New mechanical, plumbing, and medical gas systems essential for the labs
    • A new generator to ensure that the facility could continue operations during emergencies
    • State-of-the-art laboratory spaces designed to support advanced research and development activities.

The completion of the fit-out for PMV Pharmaceuticals has not only revitalized their workspace but has significantly enhanced their research capabilities.

This project demonstrates EDiS’s expertise in managing and executing construction projects that meet the intricate demands of the biopharmaceutical industry, ultimately supporting PMV Pharma’s mission to pioneer new cancer therapies.
