Peninsula United Methodist Homes planned the expansion of their Hockessin facility to meet the rising demand for health care for senior citizens. In this expansion, EDiS Company was contracted to build patient rooms, nursing staff areas, and a cafeteria. Tie-in of the addition with the existing facility resulted in renovations to some areas of the older wing of the Village. The structure is a steel framed building with pre-cast concrete panels and windows for the exterior skin. The roof is an EPDM roofing system.
