EDiS Company was contracted to renovate Millsboro Middle School for the Indian River School District. The renovation of this 108,000 square foot facility required installation of a new mechanical system which included new boilers, chillers, rooftop equipment, and over 70 fan coil units. This project also featured installation of a complete electrical service including a transformer, switchgear, and all new breaker panels. A new sprinkler system, fire alarm system, computer intranet wiring, and clock system were also part of the new upgrades. Construction included the addition of an elevator and the redesign and renovations of the existing bathrooms to comply with ADA standards.
The Architectural upgrades included new ceiling systems, flooring, lighting, paint, and the replacement of the existing lockers. EDiS coordinated with district asbestos abatement authorities which allowed the project to begin earlier than anticipated and maintain completion dates.
