EDiS Company was contracted to build Lincoln Towers, a 10-story senior living residential tower constructed for WHA in association with Michaels Development. The 88 unit residential tower includes an 18 space underground parking garage and attached two-story firehouse. The building’s foundation rests on micropiles and the garage and first three floors are conventional steel construction. The top seven floors are constructed of a Hambro joist system resting on load-bearing structural stud panels. The entire building façade is a panelized thin-brick system which allowed for reduced costs and schedule. The entire building was constructed with Green principles in mind. The windows and exterior system have excellent thermal capacities and the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems were all designed to be energy efficient and water conserving. All of the building’s stormwater lines are retained in a large 2,000 cubic foot storage tank for reuse on site.
