Grant & Eisenhofer Law Firm Office Expansion & Renovation

The expansion project for Grant & Eisenhofer, P.A. at the Star Building in the Riverfront area of Wilmington, DE added 5,400 square feet of space for the law firm. EDiS was the builder of the law firm’s original 35,000 square foot space, so the team was aware of a challenges they would hit: orchestrating delivery of large items through a window, and managing contractor parking. Unlike the first project which was completed when the building had no other tenants, there were now several tenants. This necessitated an early start at 6:00 AM, an hour earlier than standard construction projects to get a jump on noisy work and deliveries before the occupants of the other spaces settled in for their work days.  As experts in completing short-duration projects on schedule, the EDiS team knows it is essential to anticipate the potential road blocks (material lead times, permitting and inspection challenges, building restrictions, client-owned trades) and have a plan to counter them. As an example, the team knew that Grant & Eisenhofer planned to contract voice, data, and furniture directly. In order to ensure excellent communication and a smooth process, the EDiS team reached out to the cable installer, learned their preferences and needs, and folded them seamlessly into the construction.
