Vet Fest: A Legacy of Support & Service

VetFest, annually held in the Town of Whitehall, is not just an event; it is the manifestation of commitment, legacy, and support that the DiSabatino family and EDiS have for our veterans. The festival serves as a beacon of solidarity for the military community and veteran causes.

Vet Fest is hosted by 22in22, an organization that Brian DiSabatino’s son, Jacob DiSabatino, started in 2015 while he was a junior at St. Mark’s High School, and is now serving in the United States Army. The organization was created to bring awareness to the epidemic of veteran suicide, and is supported by sister Jacqueline DiSabatino Flowers, an Estimator at EDiS and a military spouse, and brother Dylan.

Last year, the event brought the community together in a powerful display of support for veterans. Activities like the 5K run and the 10K ruck march, symbolizing the burdens carried by many veterans, were not just physical challenges but also a tribute to the resilience and endurance of our veterans. The day was filled with resource booths, musical performances, and a community united in a common cause, all resonating with the spirit of service and support. VetFest is not just a local event; it inspires similar gatherings across the nation, all united in the cause of supporting our veterans. This year, VetFest will again be held to aid Stop Soldier Suicide’s efforts to provide tailored support and resources to at-risk veterans.

Even when the event is over, the work is not. For more information on 22in22, updates on this year’s upcoming Vet Fest 2024, or to donate, scan the QR codes here:
