Project Engineer

If you’re the kind of person who loves rolling up your sleeves to make big ideas come to life (and maybe also secretly enjoy building epic LEGO sets), keep reading. EDiS is on the hunt for the next generation of Project Engineers to join our team.

 

Your priorities will be:

  1. Team Collaboration: Support Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects on track and running smoothly.
  2. Documentation Excellence: Maintain thorough, accurate project records and enable smooth communication across teams.
  3. Project Enablement: Assist in bidding, scheduling, and finalizing projects, contributing to punch lists and closeout processes.

Typically, our hiring process follows the order below. We won’t move you on to the next round unless we’re serious about it, and we’ll let you know where you stand.

  1. First, we’ll review your resume. If you haven’t included references, you may be asked for them.
  2. Next, you’ll be invited to schedule a 30-minute screening call with a member of our team.

Your Day to Day Looks Like...

  • Learning the Ropes: Review project plans, specs, and RFIs to get familiar with how it all comes together.
  • Keeping It Organized: Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborating Like a Pro: Work with contractors, design teams, and your internal squad to enable smooth operations.
  • Safety First: Assist the project team in monitoring safety requirements and conditions.
  • Planning the Game: Assist in bidding, scheduling inspections, and managing submittals.
  • Problem-Solving: Inspect installations to make sure everything lines up with the design.
  • Punch What? Help coordinate punch lists, closeouts, and the final “ta-da” moments of each project.

Your Skills Look Like...

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and a knack for learning industry-specific software.
  • Team Player Energy: You know how to keep things positive and collaborative.
  • Detail-Oriented: You understand the importance of plans, schedules, and processes – even If you aren’t a color-coding wizard.
  • Curious and Hungry: You are eager to learn, grow, and ask questions.
  • Adaptable: You roll with the punches when plans change faster than a streaming playlist.

Your Experience Looks Like...

  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 0-3 years of practical experience (yes, internships count!)
  • OSHA 30-hour Certification (or the ability to complete it after hire)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (we’ll help you get it if you don’t have it yet)
