Open for Bids: Hodgson Vo-Tech

The final Bid Pack for the new Hodgson Vocational-Technical High School has been extended!

3. If you are a self-identified DBE, there may still be time to get registered with the Office of Supplier Diversity before Bid Pack D is due! Check out the action steps you can take below.

A recent study by the State of Delaware highlights a significant lack of diversity in government spending on construction projects. In a state where Blacks and Hispanics make up one-third of the overall population, only 2% of contracts are awarded to Hispanic or Black-owned firms. The state’s Office of Management & Budget and EDiS are working to close that gap through an upcoming pilot program centered around the new Hodgson High School project, with a goal of 7% DBE participation for the project. 

WHO: Prime subcontractors who:

• Have the ability to provide a consent of surety for 10% of your bid as part of your bid submission
• Will achieve the 7% DBE goals for this project, either through their own DBE status, or by including DBE suppliers, vendors, or subcontractors in their bid

WHAT: Bid Pack D, the final Bid Pack for the Hodgson Vocational-Technical High School.

WHEN:

• Bid Pack D Bids Due Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 at 3:00 PM

2. For bidding on the EDiS FTP site. Download and complete the Plan Request Form, and email Jackie McKee at jmckee@ediscompany.com.

If you are a subcontractor looking for DBE suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors, there are two directories available to you:

1. The Office of Supplier Diversity
2. DelDot DBE Program
   Click on “Search DBE/ACDBE Directory” under the “Certification” box

If you have not started the DBE Certification process, there is still time!

1. Go to the Office of Supplier Diversity Website, download and fill out the Certification Application. The Instructions begin on page 14.
2. Include a letter stating you are requesting certification for the Hodgson project
3. The Office of Supplier Diversity will work with you to expedite your application
